Artzi began as a conviction about how the next decade of work will happen — people and agents organized as one organism — and as the conviction that it should be built, not described. This is what that meeting looks like.

Where this is heading

The coming years belong to the organisms. Not to the companies that use AI, and not to the people who build tools for agents — to the organizations in which humans and agents are cells of the same body, sharing a protocol, a memory, and a purpose.

Working with agents is the shift, not the tool. Two decades of software practice — and a year of building Artzi on top of it — say the interface is changing from operating a machine to holding a membership in something that operates. The questions of the coming years are not technical: they are organizational, ethical, and economic.

Artzi's bet is that the next form of the enterprise is a living system — one that reads, writes, forms opinions, produces tools and infrastructure, and grows capabilities of its own. The people and tools that exist today are its first cells: the builders and the stewards, not the whole definition.

Artzi is a different kind of AI lab and a new breed of business. Not a model factory, and not a product company looking for a use case — an organism learning how to be an organization in an age of agents.

The opportunity is that this is still early enough that a curious, talented, capable person — or a small group — can change what it becomes, at a scale of influence that was reserved for the strongest and the most powerful until recent years.

The machinery layer: harnesses, workflows, and the connective tissue that lets agents and people work in the same room without breaking each other.

The shape of what gets built: deciding what Artzi ships, who it serves, and what a living system should offer its members.
